Looking good . Thanks for posting progress photos , it is always good to follow a project
Glued up the drawers and paring them down. Wish I had a real paring chisel, would’ve make a world of difference. Paring 200+ dovetails creates some new calluses. ouch
Any suggestions for a good paring chisel? Suggestions? 3/4″ or 1″ 1 1/2″? What size do you like or use?
@crance definitely going to teach my son early. I’ve attached a picture of him helping me make his bed, ofcourse he couldn’t really saw, but he like to hold the tools and some I would let him hold.
I must say your tails look pretty neat.
I would use a block plane on end grain or use a no. 4 with a tight mouth.
I must admit don’t own a pairing chisel and I have about 60 chisels.
Love picture of you son 😉
Looks great! I think the through dovetails look fantastic on drawer fronts – much prefer the look over half-blinds.
George.
I have finished the chest of drawers and I’m very happy with the result. Used pine knobs and stained to a darker shade to add some contrast.

Yes I agree with the contrast of the knobs matches the end grain of the tails rather well.
Superb job all round ;0
