I’ve been working on some needed repairs. This is our patio set, which has endured 12 years of sun, winds, snow/ice storms, torrential rains and hurricanes.
I replaced 4 boards: 3 pieces were recycled from our old wooden steps. I also used wood putty to take care of the larger cracks in the wood.
Decided to use an exterior latex paint instead of the usual waterproofing sealers, which we had to apply every couple of years.

Don’t you have to fight the urge to make a complete new one?

I was recently commisioned to repair a patio chair. Took measurements and drawings to make some myself.

That turned out very nice Marilyn, that looks like the same color when I painted our old wooden deck when we lived in Atlanta,Ga. The stain and sealer wasn’t working well at all.

    Thanks guys.

    – Steve color is from the big blue store, Exterior colors were a bit limited, but I usually favor this color. think it’s in my genes.. I’m done with re-sealing outdoor furniture.

    – Diego, you did a nice job on that repair… And yes, would have wanted to make a set from scratch, but there are so many other projects on my to do list.
I’ve been trying to work on my WWMM projects or incorporating what I learn from the lessons into the home projects. The list keeps growing…
