Very nice Martin, Dan, and Greg.
I can see there will be a lot more wooden spoons coming into this world. 😉
Hi Greg nice to have you back I have missed your posts
The spoon is a true work of art. I have said it before you should be doing this for a living
Thanks David…and thank you for the encouraging words. It means a lot. My immediate family and friends tolerate my “hobby” but do not see any real value in it. For now I’m happy to just be creating something with my own two hands. Thanks again.
Dan…thanks…no, just used up the scrap pieces I had in the shop. Used a hatchet/axe to rough them out and then knife work from there. My plan is to source some green wood this weekend and have a go at that process.
I enjoyed watching that Johan he makes it look so easy. In the same group of videos there is one on the guy who makes £100,000 watches I know nothing to do with woodworking but again what skill
More spoons…most of these are from green wild cherry sourced from my backyard. If you haven’t tried carving a spoon from green wood, your are missing a real treat. The green wood is very easy to carve. If you like carving spoons, give green wood a try. The spoon rack is carved from a piece of SPF 2×4.
