I need to recut the teeth in my handsaw, and after a bit of searching I ran into this guide. It has layouts for tpi ranging from 4-14/or so. I’m going to use it to make a wooden guide for 10tpi.

The guy who made it says to wrap it in the vise and use it to help cut the teeth with a file. What I did is wrap it around a block of wood, and use the lines as guides for cutting the knife walls like Paul showed. Tonight I am going to use that guide to cut new teeth.

Norse Woodsmith has pdf files with a whole range of TPI spacings. Also guides for different angles if you want to do crosscuts.
