Just dry fitted the case in stringbark. Very hard Aussie wood . Just wanted to share progress
frame for rear panel. I had to remake a rail after stuffing up the sawing of one shoulder
Thanks David and Tenjin it is a really enjoyable project and for me has a lot of the skills i need to make almost anything in the future. I have just got to the stage where dovetails fit “off the saw” and now have reasonable confidence in mortice and tenons. I thinks the next big challenge for me will be the world of compond angles and chairs. Though i did make the garden bench with my daughter. It is wonderful that i can still learn new skills at 57 thanks to Pauls vision and the internet all the way here in Australia🙂
I am 58 and still learning and improving skills always, till i cant hold a tool any longer lol. Best of luck philip with your wood working and hoping the new year brings us all some peace
David and Darren happy New Year to you both and thanks for the comments and good wishes
