I’m building a chair for someone and have a piece of 3″ and 4″ foam for them to try. I’m going to mock up a seat bottom with the foam, ply, and fabric. The final seat will use leather.
My question is, how much does the fabric affect the feel of a seat cushion? I’m just going to use material from an old sheet for the prototype. Could this mislead them about the feeling of the leather cushion by a big deal?
