Greg, I have Lie-Nielsen’s plate. I opted for it over making my own due lack of local materials at a reasonable cost. I used for making pegs for my tool chest lid and was pleased with the result.19 December 2013 at 2:33 pm #24158
+1 for IrfanView . It understands quite a number of image formats. You can manipulate images, adjust colors, add captions and a lot more. Be sure to get the plugins as well. Best part is the “price”. It is free. (Think Free speech and free beer.) 🙂
One caveat. Some download sites attempt to install yet another annoying toolbar. Just say no. 🙂18 December 2013 at 12:50 am #24080
Slight correction. Josh doesn’t post new tool updates every Wednesday. It’s usually every 2 weeks, often on a Monday. It’s best to subscribe to his email list to get the announcement.
I would say his prices are fair. They aren’t flea market prices. However, the quality is very high and his descriptions accurate. He doesn’t sell junk. And if you get a tool from him and it turns out it wasn’t what you thought it was, he will take it back and refund your money.
Yes, the tools he lists go fast. Often by the time I get the email, most new tools are gone. This can be a source of frustration. On the bright side, he doesn’t list every tool he has for sale. If you email telling him what you are looking for, he may well have it in his stash. If not, he will keep you in mind should he come across it.
