http://www.hammersource.com is where I bought mine. On their page the product number is NT150 and it is the Thor (made in England) 12-712N hammer with a wooden handle. It was $21.99 for the hammer and $12.39 S/H for a total of $34.38. Freight was a bit pricey, but it is a good hammer and it arrived within two days of ordering.
I got the Eze-lap plates from Amazon. They were quite a bit cheaper than the DMT Plates. Also, I found the green compound (Porter Cable brand) at Lowes for about $3.00. I am amazed at the results with Paul’s method. I had always used a hollow grind and water stones and micro bevel and was never quite satisfied with the results I was getting. Now I am getting whispy, thin shavings with my planes including the cheap newer model Stanley that I never could get tuned up just right. Sharpening doesn’t seem like such a chore anymore.
