Have a look at Duffield Timber
http://www.duffieldtimber.comabout an hour from you, wide selection and cater for everyone nice day out, plentty of great pubs with good food in Yorkshire ( and that from a Lancashire lad)
For me the WWMC Vidoes are hard to beat , however some feedback you might consider, meant constructively and not critically , I am not a teacher nor have experience of teaching
however some thoughts that occurred to me watching the videos all the way throughIt states aimed at beginner and in making these points I have made assumption that target audience might be relatively young ,
great bite sized chunks
`young people in Europe probably only understand metric ( my Children (14) think an inch is about 4cm) and can’t visualise in imperial so might be worth consistently quoting both ?
Should there be more explanation of grain direction earlier i.e. in cutting the profile
some things might need fuller explanation/ staying what might be obvious to those with experience but not necessarily a complete beginner e.g. when boring hole was not stated when you turn it round you put the point of bit in hole that has just broken throughNot saying Im right guys just some points that occurred to me
Here you go, sorry took some time I’ve been working away

http://Www.theoldtoolshed.co.ukI concur with some other posts , eBay prices fluctuate if you have time then you will find reasonable price , I just thought you might want some options as key is your in Uk at specific time.
I enquired with ray Iles http://www.oldtoolstore.co.uk re router and If memory serves me right I was quoted £40 refurbished , ( I think that means sole ground flat) only reason I didn’t go ahead is one came up on ebay that no one seemed to bid on and I won it for £21 plus delivery but when it turned out to have no cutter ( maybe that’s why no bidders, although it wasn’t disclosed and as it turns out I didn’t scrutinise photos as much as I should have) I had to pay further £17 for veritas cutter , and fettle sole myself).
im not knocking eBay merely saying you take a chance , personally I have had mixed bag with eBay ranging from fantastic 043 for £16 to some not so good transactions.
I know I may have made some mistakes (caveat emptor) but there are those that shall we say are less than transparent .best of luck
hello everyone , thought I should introduce myself before posting answer below , been surfing for a while but not posted , too busy trying to learn how to take pieces of wood and form something useful
Andy
Assuming you are looking for second hand , could provide you with some links for tool dealers , they don’t have any listed that I can see but that’s because they don’t list every tool available , but you could email them and ask.
I’ve not ordered anything from them , but I’ve read on uk forums that they offer honest goods at reasonable prices , particularly Ray Iles.
Obviously it would be preferential to see before buying but there are none near York that I know of
I tried to navigate Royal Mail website to get postage costs , it seems that within Uk would be approx £8 for next day delivery assuming it could be classified as small parcel less than 1KG ( mine weighs less than 1KG) whereas delivery to Germany would be more like £16 and for 5 day delivery. point is your saving about £8 by being in uk , alternatively you could just get delivered to your home but it costs more , if you want links let me knowbeing first time poster hope I’ve not broke any rules
Regards
