Craftsman-style Lamp: Episode 4
Posted 11 June 2014
This is an episode in a free series. Want to watch it? It is free to do so, you just need to log into the site, and you can enjoy this video and many other videos we think you will love.
Time to get started on the lamp top by marking out and cutting the half-housing joints. Watch out for the techniques that make sure you get a nice flush finish.
At 30 seconds the video jumps to the end. ???
It was ok when I just watched it. It might be worth refreshing your cache and trying again.
Groovy, man! If you could leave a word about the type of glass you are using in the project, and any ideas where to get it, that would be really helpful, as I imagine some of us might want to order that in advance so it’s ready when we need it.
I believe that particular piece is called water glass. Look for stained glass suppliers in your area to order. It’s a rather popular style, and it comes in a variety of colors. Hope that helps.
Thanks, after a few searches, I came to the conclusion that it was probably water glass as well. Spectrum seems to come up as one of the biggest suppliers on the net. http://www.spectrumglass.com/
Thanks again Paul for the great instructions and the video. I haven’t started on my lamp yet but I hope to soon. Can’t wait to see the floor model!
