The association between joints is always exciting, but when you see several elements come together in a single joint area, it becomes all the more amazing. In this episode, we make a twin tenoned housing dado joint to intersect each shelf with the side uprights. It’s an unusual joint with protruding tenons and the fullest support possible for a bookshelf to have. Accuracy and fitting are everything for making this joinery last a lifetime.
Great instruction!
Hey just wondering if the cut list will be uploaded also.?
Love your work and style.upbeat attitude wish I lived in the UK. To get to meet you and take your instruction hands on God bless you and whole family and those who work with you
Now I just want to work in Cherry. Watching Paul is always such a rewarding experience, sometimes it brings me peace like an ASMR video, but usually I really want to get to the workbench and make stuff.
I have an issue with the plans/cutlist not being available at the beginning. It takes time to assemble the necessary materials and waiting until the end loses time.
“Life is like a wood. It comes with a knot in it”
I like this better than “Box of Chocolate” reference by Forrest Gump.
Thumbs up!
Would have been nice to have some commentary on the 1/8th part left on the bottom of the ends (look black on the end grain) – my guess is it to ensure it leans back into the wall but it would be good to get this confirmed as it does look a little less than Paul perfect cut end.
Paul
There is any reason not using a rebate plane on the shelf?
