    1. I asked Paul and his reply is below:

I already had the wood in for this project. To answer your question there are too many variables. For example I had stock that was 1 1/4″ thick and yet all the components were 7/8″ or less. You may find wood from your supplier that is already trued and planed or good and flat resulting in very little wastage.

  1. I understand what Paul mentions, but besides that, why does he puts the gloves and the cloth in the jar, after applying the oil finish? Will he use them again? Wouldn’t it be better to wash them, dry, and then dispose them?

And regarding using screws to secure the front of the drawers to the drawers itself, won’t they prevent the wood to expand and contract? Specially when the woods are from different species, as in this case?

Thank you, what a nice project!

    1. I asked Paul and his answers are below:

I will use them again, better to keep them soft, and not use other chemicals to clean them.

There won’t be any contradiction of any kind. Any expansion and contraction would be fractions of mms. This method would allow for many mms without any issues.

  2. Mr. Paul Sellers and the rest of the production team
Very nice, this piece is rock solid. It suits the furniture in the room. Very well done and that comment includes the production team.
    Take care
