Rebate Plane by Rob Foster
Inspired by Paul’s “Poor Man’s Rebate Plane” I made this over Christmas. The plane is Yew with an Oak wedge and has the moveable fence, depth stop and a fully retractable nicker blade. Six coats of Shellac finished it nicely. It’s really comfortable to use and produces rebates perfectly! Thanks Paul for the instructions and inspiration!

European Oak, shellac + beeswax finish. My first woodworking project ever. It was very tough but I learned so much. Thank you Paul & the team for the great guidance.

Dovetail Boxes by Cyril LE GUIENNE
Here’s a small dovetail pillbox with a rebated lid for the bathroom made of spalted beech. Next to it, a handtowel box made of pine. Both were finished with a few coats of raw linnen oil and turpentine.

Smokehouse by Cyril Le Guienne
Here’s a piece mostly based upon Seller’s home bedside cabinet’s design. It’s made of pine, spruce and plywood. Except it’s not a bedside cabinet…but a smokehouse! The drawer is located at the bottom to receive the smoke generator in order to ease cleaning operations after use.
