Thanks for that response Sanford. That’s pretty much what my common sense was telling me. Just takes determination and patience to develop the muscle memory in the hands. I will try that suggestion for narrow chisels. I’m really glad to get this down because the time I was spending fiddling with that honing guide was really getting annoying 😁

30 April 2019 at 4:28 am #557505Peter one of the rods is out of square with the body. It was dropped maybe?
But from end to end the rods are 1/8” out of parallel with each other. I’m not to comfortable about trying to bend it back. -
