Second approach would be to remove the vise, use a chisel or gouge to excavate around the screw shaft to allow a pair of locking pliers to grip the shaft and back the screw out.
You can then drill out a hole large enough to cover the gouged area and glue in an appropriate sized dowel or plug. And start over. ( predrill and lots of wax)

For an M6 screw a 5/16 or 3/8″ would work.
Since you’re using metric I assume you’re not in the US but you might find the same tool in the UK or EU.

These tend to crush the surronding grain if used on face grain. Makers marks are typically used on end grain such as in marking wooden planes.
Owners marks tend to produce recessed imprints on face grain such as saw handles.I haven’t found a good supplier for those that wasn’t pricy.
You might try “Infinity Stamps” for those.
