Hammacher Schlemmer & Co. was a high-end store in New York City. Disston made saws for them, and then added the store’s name. A great find!

I’ve had success at flea markets here in the U.S. (not sure what they are called in the U.K.) with finding real junker panel saws (broken handles, bent and kinked blades) for a couple of dollars and buying them for the saw nuts. The blades can sometimes be reused as scrapers, or to practice sharpening. Hope this helps. -
