You must be logged in to view attached files.I installed a small woodworking vise as a tail vise on my bench. Most of the screws are up into the benchtop from the bottom and that isn’t end-grain. I instaaled it flush with the front of the benchtop. I love it for clamping vertical boards for ripping to width.

I agree, its good that the woodworking market is reflecting the renewed interest in hand tools. Are you going to make the shooting board?
How you search on eBay is a trick as well. The following search (paste into search box) …

… will find all the size 4 or 4 1/2 planes by Stanley, Bailey, Sargent, Miller Falls, or Craftsman
