The veneer is ready to be glued in place sequentially. Both the apron and the bin edges are veneered, then the veneer is planed flush. Once the bins are fitted, the lids can be cut and hinges set.

I am enjoying and learning from this video, as I have with your other videos.
My question is this: Instead of planing the bin lids can you throw the hinges (with paper shims, or something similar…) to bring the lids into alignment when open? Perhaps this will cause the lids to be uneven when closed. Not sure.

At 9:46, during the sped up portion, it looks like Paul is sawing out panels from a sheet of thin plywood. Is that being used as veneer or an underlay?
I think it is just more clamping pad
That’s correct. @hilfers3, the plywood is for clamping purposes.
