Curved drawer fronts have their idiosyncrasies and no two are ever the same. The steps for establishing the curved elements are mainly logical and, in this episode, Paul shows you step by step how to ensure your drawer openings come together to match the curved top of the main cabinet openings. These preparatory steps are needed to ensure success when you get to the point of drawer making and fitting. Additionally, we have several awkward angles for the front dovetail joints which are half-lap dovetails with a step you mustn’t miss. We think that you will enjoy this aspect of making the TV stand especially. Paul did!
As always masterful and a joy to watch.
Thanks Carole for your lovely comment.
The close-up shots are great. Very helpful to see what Paul is doing from that perspective. Thanks for the high quality filming.
Thank you for your lovely comments. I have passed on your comments to the rest of the team.
Paul mentions that he has been working on the vice to make it work better – any chance of a quick tutorial on this – anyone that has a quick release vice could benefit from something like that – maybe even a candidate for a YouTube video?
Thanks Paul for showing us how to get the sides of a curved drawer squared up. It opens all kinds of design possibilities for me.
