Here is my progress so far. I’m going for the most unique wood selection award. The local Woodcraft had some sassafras lumber. I had never used it before but it is a joy to work with and my shop smells wonderful!

Clock looks really great and wood is wonderful (almost is pity to put hole in middle for clock mechanism 🙂 )

I started yesterday, I’m going to make at least four clocks as Christmas gifts, I’m doing two at a time. I’m all caught up now and have just ordered the inserts, can’t wait to see the whole thing come together!22 November 2012 at 2:41 am #3684
