As suggested in the Workshop Tour video post, let’s post pictures of our workspaces.
I have a little workbench in the basement, a bunch of tools at the bench and a few more scattered around someplace in the basement. I would like to add, that I just started out a few weeks ago.
Find at least 6 signs I have been influenced by Paul’s videos 🙂

Right next to the couch in the living room of my apartment, hand tools only, shelves are a somewhat recent addition. Got a small shop vac for cleanup, and working on a saw bench to go under the main bench currently.

Anyway, David, your space caught my attention as it looks to have a ceramic tile floor. That’s what my space will have too and not long ago I dropped a spare cutting iron from a #4 smoother. Luckily, no tile chipped but I put down a thin cotton rug I got at Ikea that I think will be protective enough. I’ll post a pic asap.

Carlos,
are you concerned about the tiles or the iron? It wouldn’t matter much, if the floor got damaged for me, since it’s only the basement and it’s altogether a bit rough (ceiling, no-door-no-frame, walls…).
9 November 2013 at 11:07 pm #21135I’ll take a picture tomorrow then you will know what small and messy is lol.
9 November 2013 at 11:07 pm #21136Ha, ha. Well, I would have been more concerned with the cutting iron dropping before I learnt Paul’s sharpening mehtods. Now at least if the edge gets damaged I know what to do.
I do not have a basement available to me so I use a living area off the kitchen…I may switch the garage, but kind of cramped. Aarrghh..hauling everything yet again once more to another space..
Thanks for letting us take a look. -
