when in doubt circle “C”. As a firefighter/paramedic I took many governmental exams for certifications I needed and wanted. One thing is for sure many of the questions have little or nothing to do with actually doing the job. We used to joke and say that on the final paramedic state exam we all took, there was no difference between someone who got a 70 percent or a 95 percent on the test, they both got their licenses.
Wow, impressive work. A tool box that will last for over a hundred years I am sure. Leaving apart of ourselves through our work, long after we have left this world somehow gives me comfort. Just curious, did you use solid wood panels for the drawer bottoms? In all of my projects requiring drawers I tell myself I will use solid wood for the bottoms, only to give in to weakness and use plywood, hahah.
Years back when I built my first dedicated woodworking bench (and it happens to be the last one I have built to this point) I decided to spend the $135 it cost back then, and bought a 10″ quick release vise like the one I expect you are talking about. I have never had any issues with it and it’s given me many years of good service. The only things I have done is, replace the hard maple face piece that had gotten marred up over the years, holding things other than wood in it, and I replaced the handle. The handle it came with just wasn’t long enough to give me the leverage I sometimes needed, so I turned a new one out of some ash and gave it some handsome finials.
