The shoulder lines on the cross rails are defined with a knife before the tenons can be laid out and cut. Then the tenons on the kickboard are cut.

why a stub tenon vs a full size tenon…???
Hello Frank,
Are you referring to the kickboard tenon? If so, it is not a through tenon as the additional strength isn’t necessary and it would show on the outside of the cabinet.
