With all of the seat slats formed and planed, it’s time to shape them, refine them, and fit them to the chair. Centering them and aligning them requires some precise laying out and then cutting too. We make each slat specific to its place, and the method we use ensures that each slat becomes identifiable by the screw holes first and then the tapering of the slats from top to bottom and front to back. It’s always exciting to see the last slat go into place.
