With the drawer dovetailing completed, we use the plough plane to create grooved pieces to attach to the inside bottom rim of the drawer and glue them in place. Again, it’s the tips and tricks that make the work both accurate and simple. The drawer front parallels the panelling with the random-width pieces Vee jointed to give the appearance of Vee-jointed boards but are one solid lamination to be applied when the drawer is finally fitted and installed. The intricacies of drawer runners can create awkward stages, and we cover the possible eventualities here but, please bear in mind, not all drawer runners are created equal on all continents.
Mr. Paul Sellers and the rest of the production team
The drawer looks great. It is such a big drawer but I do agree with using the runners. It will help a great deal once weight is put into the drawer.
Anyways I like what I see. Fantastic workmanship, and your ways of woodworking are my style of woodworking. Oh yes, about this leaving the plane on the table. Your method is proper. If the table top was metal, then to save the edge of the cutter, turn the plane on its side.
I have to go so take care, god bless
