Buying oak in the UK? Consider ebay first!
I just posted a blog on this on the paulsellers.com blog here because I thought it might be helpful to anyone and we should consoder splitting larger quantities between ourselves if that helps.

Thanks Paul, very helpful. Cost is a big issue for some of us, some don’t £500 to buy up these bargains. Splitting larger quantities between ourselves is a great Idea, but let’s not forget shipping costs, for people that don’t drive.
Sadly woodworking is turning into a rich mans hobby, thanks again.

I have got some real bargains on ebay, and some shops on there are have reasonable prices!!
