Paul is now ready to chop all the door mortises using the guide. Then the tenons are individually fit to the mortises and everything is ready for the glue up. Once cured, the door is cleaned up and fitted to the cabinet.

Paul, what would you have done if the shoulder gap was on the inside instead of the outside of the rail? If you shoulder planed down the outside shoulder it would change the length of the rail. Thanks
Good question. You can take it off the other side of the rebate in the same way, meaning that it still won’t effect the distance between the shoulders.

I’ve bought a chisel set from Lidl that had an 8mm sized one. Some other unusual sizes as well.
