With the drawer dovetailed, some grooves are run in the drawer bottom. Housings are cut for the back of the drawer, then the drawer bottom and back are fitted which is the final step to do before the glue up.
Is there a reason Paul didn’t use his trademark housing dado plus a thru tenon on the back and sides of the drawer? Would that only be used on a drawer getting heavier use? Nice video, thanks again.
Appreciate the tip of fitting the sides to the opening BEFORE gluing up. It makes it easier to figure out where the drawer is sticking–height or width.
