Here comes yet another design with solid training built into every single step. Combining a design for today with the tradition of solid cabinet-making brings longevity to a design intended to complement the bed and the room. Mortise and tenons used throughout the main carcass help to build door-making skills that include a range of other tasks in the mix. From cardboard boxes to the finished pieces, we walk you through every step to the conclusion of some fine woodworking pieces.
I’ll be interested to see how the construction of this bedside cabinet compares to the previous bedside cabinet project. I’m just finishing up a cabinet based on the previous one and interested to see what new methods and techniques can be learned.
I’m noodling on a plan for larger pair of bedside cabinets. Considering two doors with one top drawer and
granite slabs on finished tops. Leaning toward walnut and curious to see more of Paul’s design for feet.
I’m considering turning some stepped feet to coordinate with a bed frame that we have in the same room.
